What it Shwas Suzi McDonough
I'm Suzi. I live in suburban Mpls/St. Paul, and spend my days working in graphic design and sales. I suddenly find myself caught up in the First Day to 5K, a podcast running program that should have me ready to run a 5K race in October or so. My fridge is filled with organic stuff these days, because I've just started learning about what sorts of dastardly things are done to our food in this country, and it's pretty horrifying. My awesome family includes The First Baseman and a couple of daughters, Rose and Kelly, who are just about grownups. I love the ocean like it's my religion and try to visit it a couple times per year. The girls and I are on a constant quest to change The First Baseman's mind about stuff, like getting a dog and letting me use his name when I blog about him. I see as much theater as I possibly can, and I am the last remaining Minnesota Timberwolves fan. Look for me in section 126.

7 things about Suzi you never knew you wanted to know

Fidget over at Finding Yourself Despite Yourself tagged me with this 7 Random Things About Me meme, and I thought I'd be nice for a change and participate. Go take a look over there, because there are a couple video blogs that will make you pee your pants laughing. Hint: Fidget has chickens!

1. My family lived in Brazil when I was a child. I don't speak Portuguese anymore, but sometimes when I hear it spoken, I understand the gist of the conversation. The part of the brain that deals with language blows my mind.

2. I worked for a veterinarian while I was in high school, and shortly after. Didn't love cleaning up poop and vomit, but I really really really loved the animals. I still remember many of them, and their stories.

3. I met The First Baseman when I was not quite 16. He was my boss at Radio Shack. How nerdy is that? We didn't start dating until I was 17, and I married that guy the day before I turned 20. We've been married for 25 years. HOWEVER! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! Don't get married so young, people. It hardly ever works.

4. Two oddball injuries as a kid: First, I stepped on a needle and it went into my foot, requiring surgery and four nights in the hospital. Then, I shot airplane glue into my eye while trying to glue a giant tootsie roll back together after I'd opened it.

5. My vision, man. I really need to make an eye appointment. I think I need bifocals, because I can't read with my contact lenses in anymore. I don't see that well far away anymore, either. I don't appreciate it AT ALL.

6. I have run 5K three out of the last 4 days. After I run, I sneeze like a mutha for about 10 or 15 minutes. Every time. I also sneeze when I apply mascara. Fortunately, I enjoy sneezing.

7. In my thirties, I wore braces on my teeth and took Accutane for acne. I guess I bloomed into teenagerhood about 20 years late.

Now, since the theme is sevens, I have to tag 7 people. I'm going to tag the last 7 bloggers who commented here, so that means YOU, Kimmy (fix your blog!), Les, Mon, Debunot, Elle, Heather, and Jenni.
