What it Shwas Suzi McDonough
I'm Suzi. I live in suburban Mpls/St. Paul, and spend my days working in graphic design and sales. I suddenly find myself caught up in the First Day to 5K, a podcast running program that should have me ready to run a 5K race in October or so. My fridge is filled with organic stuff these days, because I've just started learning about what sorts of dastardly things are done to our food in this country, and it's pretty horrifying. My awesome family includes The First Baseman and a couple of daughters, Rose and Kelly, who are just about grownups. I love the ocean like it's my religion and try to visit it a couple times per year. The girls and I are on a constant quest to change The First Baseman's mind about stuff, like getting a dog and letting me use his name when I blog about him. I see as much theater as I possibly can, and I am the last remaining Minnesota Timberwolves fan. Look for me in section 126.

Four Foods: The Halloween Edition

I forgot to do this last week, dammit! Oh, well. I'm back, and back with a vengeance, because this weeks questions are making me hungry! If you want to play along, pop over to Fun, Crafts, and Recipes and pick up the list for next week.

Here are this week’s four questions.

#1. What kind of pretzels are your favorite?

OH, man. Before I stopped eating crap, I used to looove Snyder's of Hanover Buffalo Flavored Pretzels. They're chunks of broken pretzels that probably fell on the floor and got stomped on at the factory, and then they get rid of all the dirt and bacteria by soaking them in Tabasco sauce. Highly recommend.

#2. What’s your favorite way to eat pancakes?

Piping hot, with cold cold butter and real maple syrup, like God intended pancakes to be eaten. He didn't fill any trees with Mrs. Butterworth's Light, did he?

#3. Do you make garlic bread from scratch or buy frozen?

Hey, good idea! We haven't had that in a long time. I usually buy a loafsworth of plain Italian bread and make it out of that, with butter and fresh garlic.

#4. Share a recipe that calls for mozzarella cheese.

Kelly is a fresh mozzarella lover. Her favorite way to eat it is with home grown tomatoes (all gone. sniff.), salt and pepper, and fresh basil. That's tough to beat. I'm drawing a blank on the other kind of mozzarella, though. What do we make with that, other than pizza? Lasagne, I suppose, huh?
